Pricing
It is important here to stress that RED ARC's remuneration
arises from the sponsors of the service and NOT from the providers
... that would bring into question our ability to act independently
and in the best interests of the individual customer.
RED ARC's pricing usually follows 'Group' principles.
What constitutes a group depends on the circumstances. Typically it might be
a book of insurance policyholders
or a membership or affinity group
Adopting this approach usually allows everyone in
the group to be included in the service. Key determinents of the pricing
will usually be
scope of service
volumes
likely utilisation levels
In some designs, for example, our old age care service,
the age disposition of the group may also be a factor.
Scheme sponsors may decide to absorb the cost of providing the scheme
from within existing charges or margins, or pass the cost on by way
of a small extra charge on premiums or membership fees.
