Service Partners
A key objective right from the start has been to maintain high standards of service at every point in the process. So, the network of provision has been built painstakingly over many years, and whatever service we seek to deliver, we always satisfy ourselves that the individual or organisation providing it are suitably qualified and equipped to do so.
Specialist nurses are rigorously checked to ensure that they are registered to practice, and competent in their specialism. This means not only checking out their experience and qualifications, but also ensuring that they are keeping their knowledge up to date in terms of continuing professional development. Once a specialist nurse is selected, we are usually able to provide repeat work, so that there is familiarity around the nature of the work and how we want it carried out.
For physiotherapy, we usually work with Physio First and for counselling, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This approach ensures that practitioners have the right credentials, and this selective approach is carried through to all forms of therapy and counselling.
We have also built a significant network of specialist charities and self help groups covering all life stages, from cancer in children (CLIC Sargent) through young adults suffering a stroke (Different Strokes) to heart attack victims (British Heart Foundation) and the sourcing of equipment for the frail elderly (Disabled Living Foundation).
We are continually adding new provider relationships to out network. But we will never compromise standards, and scheme sponsors can be confident of our ability to source the most appropriate health professional, anywhere in the UK or Ireland, and to ensure that the end user - whether individual or family - benefits from the services offered.
