Mental health conditions can often be very isolating, and with the NHS so stretched there is often very little time to allocate to patients. Waiting lists for counselling and other mental health therapies can also be very long, so people find themselves with extended periods of illness.
We have qualified mental health personal nurse advisers who have plenty of time to talk to customers and, more importantly, listen. They give long-term support and guidance.
We have experience in a wide range of mental health conditions, such as chronic depression, stress, anxiety as well as more complex conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
In addition to the long-term support of the personal nurse adviser, they may identify that their patient would benefit from a course of face-to-face therapy or counselling. Our nurses use their expertise to assess which would be the most appropriate therapy for each patient, and arrange it very quickly, often avoiding a long wait on the NHS and getting people on the road to recovery much sooner.
